I was born and raised in Ukraine. In 1998 graduated from Dnipropetrovsk National University with M.A. n Philology (Linguistics and Literary Studies); in 2001 received my Ph.D in World Literatures from the same University.

Immediately after graduation I started the teaching career in my Alma Mater. For about fifteen years I had been teaching various courses in several Universities in Ukraine, ten years as an Assistant Professor, and five years as an Associate Professor. At the same time, I had multiple freelance projects as a translator and conference interpreter.

In 2008 I won a prestigious Fulbright Scholarship and spent about a year as an exchange scholar at William Paterson University of New Jersey. I was working on my book and Ukrainian translations of Gertrude Stein, an iconic American modernist writer.

I immigrated to the United States in 2012 and decided to make interpreting and translation, which had been more of a moonlighting in Ukraine, my primary job here.  I obtained the state of Florida Court Interpreter Certification in 2015. Since then I have been interpreting, in person and remotely, for the state, federal, and immigration courts in various settings; have done a lot of medical and community interpretation; completed multiple translation projects.

Interpreting has for decades been my passion and here, in the US, it also became a very interesting and rewarding career. Nota Bene Language Services, LLC is the next step in this career. I would like to use all my knowledge and experience to provide much needed professional interpretation and translation services, using a dedicated team of linguists and skilled language professionals, who share my professional values and principles.

Rest assured, with Nota Bene you would always have an experienced linguist on your side!
